I won an auction back in Sept. for a partial funny car kit for $43.00 that included an extra built Vega model (shown in the pictures below).
As you can tell, it was an original Grumpy's Toy 1972 Vega that was glued up and decaled by some kid long ago! I always wanted to build a correct version of this kit (to match the box art), so I thought "what the hey, I can experiment and fix up an old body". The thing was really glued up in places, so there was clean up and repairs that had (have) to be made.
What it looks like to date with rear wheel wells filled in and shaped. Have to add fender lips still. Chassis is an old Bruce Larson P/S for mock up only. I plan a tube chassis like the real car. It was the first P/S that used a tube chassis.
